NanoWeather Inc.
NanoWeather is recognized internationally as a leader in microclimate research. Its research has led to significant advances in the understanding of local climate and prediction of local weather. Unlike weather companies that repackage information from the National Weather Service and government-based weather prediction models, NanoWeather develops new weather prediction technology that is optimized for private-sector applications. This technology can be used by other weather companies to enhance their products and tailor them to the specific needs of customers.
NanoWeather developed the Uncoupled Surface Layer Model, a revolutionary weather forecasting system capable of predicting near-surface weather with unprecedented resolution and accuracy. The model can produce extremely detailed forecasts that are accurate in areas where the accuracy of standard weather prediction models is limited. The improved accuracy is of great value to weather-sensitive industries, while the high resolution enables forecasts to be targeted to the customer -- even down to the scale of an individual pasture, street or building.
As a member of the Weather Sphere, NanoWeather works closely with industry partners to integrate the USL Model and other innovative technology into their products. This enables our partners to provide weather forecasting solutions with unparalleled personalization and accuracy.
“NanoWeather contributes to the mission of the Weather Sphere by providing research and technology to improve its partners' products.” - Matthew Haugland, President
